I have been a blogger for over 10 years and had a number of projects, one that I had since 2012. Over the years it changed to suit other people and I really felt like I had to start a project that represents me. So I am here to introduce Pretty Core.
Pretty core is about me, my tastes and things I like and love.
The new year started with me launching the new project aptly named Pretty Core.
So where did this name come from?
Well, Pretty Core is 2 things I love.
Pretty things of course – I love anything pretty.
Core as in a type of music. Heavy, loud and inspiring.
My idea was to provide inspiration to those that like the alternative side of life. Over time, I will be showcasing beauty, fashion and lifestyle to those who truly love the alternative scene.
At the time of posting this, I will have many reviews already have many reviews written, ready to go live.
I was so excited to delve into the darker side of my life and provide a new blog detailing this in more depth. Rather than the soulless feeling blog I currently have.
Although my other blog is my pride and joy, I felt in many aspects I was simply ‘giving up’ and stopped using social media. I was fed up of having to share things in ways that I felt didn’t fully represent me and was more an ‘online’ persona.
What is to come from Pretty Core?
I have many things lined up over time and currently I am working on some beauty related content of products that aren’t so well known as well as products that really are well known.
Amongst the beauty, I have fashion, lifestyle and music coming.
Finding new bands to write about as well as an amazing pair of shoes.
I love the alternative lifestyle and have since I reached the early teenage years.
My passion is beauty and music with other things thrown in there for good measure.
Is it hard starting a new blog?
Yes, of course it is. I have to do everything from scratch again.
New social media, new website, new everything.
For a couple of months I have been preening and editing the website to make sure I was 100% happy with it. Of course, I am.
The hardest part is getting the social media following up, I will find many ways to do this whilst reaching out to a different type of audience.
It’s going to be a lot of hard work, but I am excited.
Recently I have been looking into more the marketing side of blogging and finding loads of helpful tips to reach out to more people.
Who am I?
Well simply put, I am Sam.
Many who know me personally will know of this new adventure, but to everyone else they will have no idea.
You can see me perusing social media, making pointless comments and sharing new and exciting things.
Will you ever see a picture of me? Maybe one day.
I am very self conscious and always struggle with photographing myself. This is something I wish to overcome one day.
You may see my lips, or an eye showing off a new product. But for now that is probably about it.
Final Thoughts
So my final thoughts of Pretty Core is that damn, I am so excited.
I want to be able to swear occasionally, speak more about products I dislike and show you products that I think are amazing.
Talk about random things on the internet, who knows, I may branch out into other topics such as true crime and murder mysteries.
Throw more of my passions into a blog.
