2020 has been one heck of a year for us all and if you planned on dating in 2020, things would have been hard for you. But now will dating in 2021 be? Will we be online dating again, at a distance again or back to normal?
Unless we have a vaccine, I don’t think we will be allowed to go back to normal so might be a good idea to read on and see some ideas for dating in 2021 – unless things go back to normal.

Virtual Dating
If we are locked down, virtual dating might be a fun way to explore the universe together and spend some time doing something fun.
Whether you want to play on virtual reality platforms such as Second Life, you can do whatever takes your fancy and get to know your partner and enjoy some time together.
I’ve tried virtual dating in the past and you can meet someone from anywhere in the world, but in the long run, is it ideal if you never meet? Some people prefer this, however, I do like the aspect of having someone close to me at some point. It’s not for everyone.
Virtual dating is generally the option where you are less likely to meet them and your relationship is wholly based online and even on a platform such as Second life.
Online Dating
Generally, you meet them online on a website and eventually meet up (Depending on schedules, distance and what is going on in the world).
Meeting on sites locally like West Midlands dating and eventually making the plans to meet up.
You tend to spend more time on the phone or skyping, making plans for the day you both meet and start a relationship together. Maybe moving across the country to be together if you meet and further apart.
Face to face dating
At the moment, places are closed but hopefully as the country opens back up, you will have the chance to meet someone in a pub or through mutual friends.
Or it could be a blind date arranged through someone mutual, this is still a common occurrence.
Even going to a dating event where people get the chance to meet and go on a date, although these are generally less popular, there are still some events across the country.
Whether you want to have further dates or decide to part, at least you can both go out and have some fun.
Where to go dating? Online or offline
You can do a lot of dates together virtually and face to face.
Fancy sightseeing at a museum? You can either go to a museum physically or go on a virtual tour. Most have online tours now and you can both take a look around, but even better – travel across the world without moving from the sofa!
Want to eat together? Well, you can! You can order takeaway and have a date night together online or offline. You don’t have to go to a restaurant or never have a date with food. Why not spend time having fun and cooking together but on Skype?
A film or concert you both want to see? Get on webcam and watch a concert together or even a film! This is a great way to spend time together and do something really fun. You don’t have to be doing these amazing things together in the flesh, you can do it virtually to. Even just until the lockdown is over.
Finding someone is hard, there are many Online Dating Services around you can try and find someone either locally or across the globe!
