Sometimes a tarot deck will call out to me and this time it was the Crystal Visions Tarot which I kept seeing everywhere and didn’t know what the tarot deck was called. Eventually, I found it and it was the best fantasy tarot deck I had come across.
The Crystal Visions Tarot was published on 15 October 2011 which makes it 10 years old, but in my eyes, it seemed much older from the artwork.
I was so drawn to it because of the artwork, it’s beautiful and very attractive in terms of the style and colouring, it’s my kind of aesthetic and if I have an immediate attraction to a tarot deck, then I just have to purchase it. The Sacred Rose Tarot was another that called out to me.
When it comes to fantasy-inspired tarot decks, I am a sucker and another one I adore is the Shadowscapes Tarot.
I’m going to go into the deck, how I liked it and talk more about it. So, let’s get into the Crystal Visions Tarot review, shall we?
Crystal Visions Tarot Review – A Delve Into A Fantasy Tarot Deck
About the tarot deck
Jennifer Galasso created this tarot deck, using her illustration and fantasy art skills to bring together the beauty and power of a tarot deck that is capturing your attention and drawing you in with the beauty.
It’s said this tarot deck was inspired by the one and only Stevie Nicks. She is my idol since childhood. Her voice is hauntingly beautiful and it’s wonderful that her album ‘Crystal Visions‘ was part of the process of this tarot deck.
Published by U.S. Games, this has been a firm favourite and it’s wonderful to see it growing in popularity again!
This is a 79 card deck, usually, tarot decks are 78 cards but this includes a further card outlined in the review.
About the packaging, quality and booklet
Like most U.S. Games tarot decks, this comes in a thin cardboard box with an about card, booklet and then the 79 beautiful cards.
The box quality is the same as every other deck I own I tend to keep the boxes for show and then put the cards in a dedicated tarot bag that I create.
Now, the cards in the Crystal Visions Tarot are smooth, which makes shuffling really easy. They are really good quality and they have not shown any signs of wear after using quite a few times. This shows they are going to last.
The guide book explains the meaning of the card, then gives the details in reverse too. So this is a deck you can use in reverse if you want to.
The quality of the printing is fantastic, they are colourful, vibrant and exactly how I expected. Reminds me of The Morgan Greer Tarot.
Crystal Visions Tarot Review
Crystal Visions Tarot is a very fantasy-based tarot deck, lots of purples, pinks, blues, reds and orange scattered throughout, this gives it a very mythical and ethereal look.
It follows your typical Rider Waite Smith style system and includes an additional card, making a total of 79 cards. Which I really like, little things like this really make it the one for me.
Mostly feminine icons throughout, there are a few male icons in the decks, especially kings and knights.
The colours are blended, muted and calming. Full of iconographies like butterflies, crystals, flowers and even dragons.
Each suit has a colour scheme, the cups is purple/violet/lavender shades and pinks thrown in. The swords are more blues, purples, lilacs with a hint of orange. Pentacles is greens, olives, yellow and orange. Then wands are reds, oranges and yellow tones.
The backs of the cards are a mix of all shades, with chalices, swords, pentacles and also roses.
Flicking through the cards made me feel calm, strong and knowing. I felt like they had so much to tell me. From the beautiful flowers to animals, each card represented the meaning really well.
I noticed that there is an additional card, ‘The Unknown Card’ which represents an answer that is not yet revealed.
Overall, the Crystal Vision Tarot cards are beautiful, serene, joyful, calming and I just love picking them up all the time!
How I got on reading the cards
I absolutely love reading with these cards, I found the readings to be really accurate and struck up a chord with them super well that I could pick them up at any time and have a reading I desired.
I’ll admit, I now use the Crystal Visions Tarot for my readings for other people and noticed they too have a rapport with them much more over other cards. They are requested more than any other cards I own (and I own a lot!).
It’s wonderful to use these cards and the feeling I get from this is very positive, very connected and it’s amazing to see that they really connect with the people I read for too.
If you are looking to read the cards more in-depth, why not check out my post on Kindle Unlimited Tarot Books too!
Final Thoughts
Overall, I am really impressed with the Crystal Visions Tarot and everything from the quality to the artwork is just amazing.
I’d love to see a Tarot In A Tin version of this, hopefully, it will be something they publish at some point! This is certainly on my list if this comes out, I think I would purchase it straight away!
If you like the fantasy-inspired artwork, then the Crystal Visions Tarot is certainly a tarot deck for you.

Here I am looking for a sign about which deck is for me…due to an array of decks I’ve worked with and had worked with. The crystal visions just calls to me even though I feel a bit neutral. But looking at the date of your review and a reading from daily tarot girl using this deck to read for a weekly reading
(April 1-7, 2019) I’m like so shocked seeing your review! This happens to be my birthday. I love the colours on this deck I just feel intimidated? Out of the decks I’ve seen and handled. It’s the deck that I’m uneasy about, but drawn to!
