5 Things to Bring into Your Weekly Schedule

Life is busy. And when you have a lot on your plate, it can be easy to get overwhelmed. When you have a family, a job, a social life, and even aging parents to be mindful of, it’s a lot for you to focus on. It can also mean that you feel exhausted a lot of the time. But you may find that you can combat that by creating a weekly schedule that makes it all possible. Here’s how to do it.

1. Exercise and Movement

Firstly, you absolutely need to make sure that you’re scheduling exercise or some kind of movement into your weekly schedule. Ideally, this will be daily. The more you take care of yourself, the more energy you’ll have. This then allows you to enjoy more vitality in life and go through your week feeling strong, motivated, and ready to take it all on.

2. A Reset Day

When you’re feeling overwhelmed, sometimes all you really need is a reset day. It could be a Sunday before the week begins, or even at the end of the week, or in the middle–whenever it suits you. But the whole idea here is that you’re dedicating time to getting yourself organized, making sure your home is back to normal, and preparing for everything you have coming up.

3. Support Around the House

If you know that you struggle to get everything done or you’re exhausted from caring for everyone’s needs, then it’s time to make a change. Bringing in extra help could be just what you need. Firstly, looking into home care for yourself or your elderly parents that you care for could change everything. You may even want to hire a cleaner for your home too. That way, you can actually focus on spending time with your loved ones and being together, not just caring for them or running errands.

4. A Date Night

When you’re younger, this is something that you do all of the time. But when you get married and have children, it can often feel more frivolous and not necessary–that couldn’t be any further from the truth. Scheduling time to spend with your spouse, just the two of you, can make such a difference. It doesn’t have to be anything too wild and lavish, but planning date nights can give you both time to switch off and relax, as well as enjoy each other’s company. After all, you need to keep your bond going strong, and spending that quality time together is a great way to do it.

5. Self-Care

Finally, you also need to make sure that you’re planning in some self-care. As women, our needs often fall to the bottom of the pile. But this can then just lead us to feeling exhausted and frustrated. But, when you make sure to prioritize a bit of you time, everything can change. Working in an evening bath, a beauty treatment here and there, and even some time for you to pamper yourself can be all it takes for you to feel well-rested. You’ll find that the weeks you skip this will always be the ones where you feel most exhausted, so be sure to plan it in!
