When you think of disabled dating, you might wonder what you could do when dating with a disability. Although it can be harder depending on your disability, there are still many wonderful things you can do either online or offline.
So I’ve put together some ideas for you but the one thing you must do is make sure there is suitable access and toilets if you go out somewhere.
Whether you need wheelchair access, dietary requirements or easy access to the toilets – whatever requirements you need, you can do a bit of research first and call in advance to make sure you have the requirements you need. This also makes them fully aware and can accommodate for you.
For some, it can be embarrassing, but as someone with disabilities, I found it much easier and had smooth dates this way. It also helps me find places to avoid that don’t have the access requirements I need.

The first part of online dating is finding somewhere you can use for your date, like a wheelchair dating site that is a wonderful place to find someone.
When you are online dating with a disability, there are many places you can visit online such as Museum tours, visit an online escape room, check out observatories online!
You can watch a film together and video chat at the same time, eat a meal together (Of course you need to get your own foods and this way you can eat hat you like) and even play online games together.

Go for a meal
Before you book somewhere to go for a meal when disabled dating, you may need to check access, dietary requirements and make sure there are adequate facilities. Most restaurants offer this anyway but you don’t want to be left in a bit of a pickle and struggling to find somewhere else.
Also, book in advance and give them a heads up of your needs, they will be more than accommodating and ensure you have a smooth date!
Find out what food your date likes and come to a compromise so you both can enjoy a delicious meal and spend quality time together.
You could even do it at home if you both feel comfortable enough. That way you have everything around you that you need. You don’t even have to cook, just order a wonderful takeaway and have a good time!
Cinema/Drive-in/Threatre
Cinemas and theatres will have disability access and seating to make sure you are comfortable, cared for and make sure you have adequate access as needed.
Drive-Ins are a good idea as you don’t have to leave your car and if you do they usually have access to facilities should you need them.
Again, call in advance and alert them of your arrival so they can be sure to accommodate your needs.
When you are trying to find someone to date, you can check sites that are a free amputee dating site and find someone with some common ground.
Safari dates
Going on a Safari might be a good idea as you don’t have to leave the car so don’t have to worry about access. Although it’s best to check they have toilets if you need this. Most do.

I enjoy the botanical gardens and they generally have amenities for those with disabilities. Whether it is wheelchair access to toilets, you can be sure you can visit here with no problems.
You can have a look at the beautiful flowers, relax and enjoy the scenery around you.
You can also visit zoo’s as they too have amenities that you can use and also have disability access and toilets.
We visit the zoo quite often as the kids love it and we can take it at our own pace without being rushed. I also have access to toilets when I need them and also food and drink.
Final thoughts
Whatever you decide to do, it’s always fun to think outside the box, check in with them first and make sure you are able to go on a date with your partner and enjoy yourselves.

There is one warning that I wanted to point out when disabled dating and that there are people that are attracted to disabilities and can be a fetish for some. So make sure you are asking the right questions before you agree to meeting or dating.
