Lets talk about about Tarot

It’s safe to say that the world seems obsessed with astrology. From costar providing us with our daily dose of life predictions, to our favourite YouTube mystics affirming our dreams of bumping into a soulmate at the local supermarket if only we just speak it into existence. What seems like a bunch of whimsical nonsense for some, has become a cultural movement for a lot more, particularly among millennials and Gen Z who have created whole astrology communities on social media.

In a world that is proving to be extremely unpredictable and unexplainable, it’s no surprise that now more than ever there appears to be a major shift in how young people in particular look for answers. With a combination of environmental emergencies, a global pandemic and the cost of living skyrocketing can we really blame them?

If like a lot of us you’ve been sucked into the highly animated and addictive world of TikTok then you are likely to have stumbled across a few popular WitchTok accounts. It’s difficult to say  exactly how many tarot readers and mystic megs are actually on the site (some have “tarot” in their handle, others don’t as there’s no rules to these things), but the hashtags such as “tarotreading” and ‘WitchTikTok’ have a combined total of 510.2 million views and the hashtag “tarot” has 1.8 billion views.

If witches and astrology is your thing the TikTok algorithm will curate more witchy content for you based on those preferences (this might be a trick or treat for you). What’s even better is that you can get in on the action and post videos of your own by following a few simple steps. That being said, it can be difficult to stand out among the many other WitchTok videos already on the platform, so you may wish to look into how to buy TikTok followers to give your content a little initial boost and encourage your organic following to find you so that you can build a little community of your own.
