Since I found out about the Jeffree Star Blue Blood Palette, I knew I had to have it. No doubt about it. I patiently waited until it was released and right away I had to get my hands on this. Of course, I had to give you an unadulterated Jeffree Star Blue Blood Palette Review.
I am going to be honest, the buzz about this palette was insane! You thought that Blood Sugar was bad, make way for Blue Blood!
Super impressed, I purchased on release day and the next day it arrived. Props to Beauty Bay!

About the Palette
Showcasing the best of the blues, this palette is so versatile that you can do a blue look or even a more neutral look.
From the matte shades to the metallic and even a glittery shade – you have a range of different formulas to create some incredible looks.
Now the Blue Blood palette looks very different to the Blood Sugar palette. From the shades to the packaging. It really is the counterpart to the Blood Sugar palette.
Shade names are completely different and also include a shade from the liquid lipstick that is one of the firm favourites.
About the Packaging
What I love about this palette is how different it is from any other available product out there.
The original package is a dark blue, thin cardboard carton which houses the palette snugly.
Inside is a light blue, coffin-shaped palette with white decals on.
Blue Blood adorns the top with a lovely motif along the top sides of the lid. Then, of course, a Jeffree Star logo which is all in white.
A light blue metal clasp holds the palette closed and has the Jeffree Star log on the clasp.
Once you open the palette, you are greeted with 18 shades with a blue card packaging inside.
There is a large mirror as usual along with the motif around the mirror in white.
I have to admit that the first few times of opening the palette is a bit tough, but this si the sale for the Blood Sugar palette,
Thick, sturdy packaging. Well worth the money.
About the Shades
18 beautiful, wearable shades from nudes to bright blue. Even throwing in some green for a different look.
13 matte shades, 4 metallic shades and 1 glitter shade.
Here are the shades and swatches going from left to right, row by row.
Top Row – Left to Right
Cullinan: Icy white with a metallic finish – This is very close to ‘Crystal Ball’ in that it’s a pure white shimmer. Super soft and easy to apply. You can add a quick blast or pile this up for that ‘pop’
Mintea: Mint with a matte finish – Super blendable and buildable shade that that is perfect as a transition shade or even pop all over your lid for a subtle look.
Crystal Flesh: Champagne with a metallic finish – A deeper champagne shade that is perfect all over the lid for that enticing look. Can be used with the neutral shades or even with the blue shades.
I’m Cold: Powder blue with a matte finish – A true powder blue that is again super blendable and you can build this colour if you want it all over your lid or create a powerful look.
Untouchable: Soft peach pressed pigment with a matte finish – This is more a pinky peach shade, can be used as a transition shade, all over the lid and even works in contrast with the lighter blues.
Priceless: Peachy tan with a matte finish – A cute light peach colour that can be used as an all over the eye area shade for some skin tones, or perfect for blending and transition. Again, this works with the blue shades also.
Middle Row – Left to Right
Power: Deep slate grey with blue undertones and a matte finish – I love this to darken the crease and can be used with any look you are going for when using the blue shades. Can muddy up other colour combinations, but works with the blues perfectly.
Blue Blood: Sky blue with a matte finish – This shade is so beautiful, if you use a little, you get a light dusting of blue, but can be built up[on without being chalky or patchy.
Deceased: Deep cayenne blue with a metallic finish – Not what I expected when I heard there was a shade name ‘deceased’ but this is my favourite shade out of the whole palette. So smooth and soft, you can build this to darken, or add a swipe just for a pop of colour.
Ice Tray: Soft pale blue with a metallic finish – This is more like a silver/grey/blue shade that again, another metallic shade that can be used all over the lid. Can create some beautiful halo looks with this also.
Blue Monday: Vibrant blue pressed pigment with a matte finish – I love how buildable this is, can use a small amount for a pop of colour or build for an intense look.
Flourishing: Bright teal with green-blue undertones and matte finish – I absolutely love this shade, again this is really buildable and can be used lightly, or build up for an intense look.
Bottom Row – Left to Right
Wealthy: Soft beige with a matte finish – A wonderful shade for popping all over your lid to start building other colours on top.
Celebrity Skin: Soft brown with a matte finish – The popular liquid lipstick is finally an eyeshadow. Exactly the same as the liquid lipstick, this is a soft brown and perfect for blending or using as a transition shade. Can be used with any look.
Entitled: Metallic teal with a glitter reflects – A gorgeous teal with a beautiful metallic look, I love this shade so much.
Ocean Ice: Metallic royal blue pressed pigment with a glitter reflect – A dark blue shade with a lot of glitters. I wasn’t happy with this formula as it did stain my eyelid pink and the glitter is quite chunky. But it does look good once you have mastered this on your lid.
Cremated: Dark grey-green with a matte finish – A dark, muddy green that looks perfect when using the teal/green shades to darken the crease. Blends very well.
Undertaker: Deep blue with a matte finish – I love the name as the Undertaker is my favourite wrestler. This is a deep blue that again can be used to darken a look. Blends wonderfully.
About the ease of use and wear
Now I have to talk about the one shade that I really didn’t get on with and that is Ocean Ice. It was quite hard to work with due to being so chunky.
Although it’s a stunning shade, it took some mastering to get it on my lid perfectly. Afterwards, this did stain my eyelid vivid pink.
The matte shades are as always super easy to blend. You can also build every shade up to give a deeper colour accent to your look. I even tried using them to line and found I could with ease.
I really enjoyed using the metallic shades, each one was buttery and applied so well to the lid. You could sweep over lightly over a shade to give it a metallic shine, or build it on for a powerful look.
Using neutral colours more often though, I could use other palettes along with these shades and create some beautiful looks for everyday wear.
They are all easy to use apart from the 1 shade – Ocean Ice.
About the final thoughts
I really did think this was worth the money as you got a mixture of shades here from blues, teals to green and then some neutral shades for an every day look.
Although I don’t wear blue and green as much, I will be certainly wearing it more.
Even if I use a pop of colour as a liner, you can use these shadows for this.
Everything from the palette to the shades, I really do love this palette and most people could easily use this.
Apart from Ocean Ice that I would rarely use, I will get a lot of use from the palette,
Not to mention, it is aesthetically pleasing too.
I am looking forward to see if there is another palette in this range, such as purples or something else.
