Every month, I receive the Freya’s Cauldron Spell Keepers Chest which has a wide range of items every month. This has to be the hands down best witch subscription I have encountered. Has to be my favourite witch subscription box by far.
So every month, you get spell candles, a spell, herbs and much more! You can see my review for the Spell Keepers Chest I got in April.
Now I do purchase these and have purchased others so we can get into the different witch subscription boxes out there and how different they are.
By far my favourite is the one from Freya’s Cauldron.
These are sent out on the 5th of the month, I get them on around the 7th, so very quick delivery. You have until the 2nd of the month to purchase to receive this month’s box.
Payment is set up through PayPal as a recurring monthly payment, so if you no longer require it for whatever reason, you can easily cancel the payment through PayPal.

Packaging and contents
What I love is the care that is taken into each package. It’s packed tightly and delicate items are wrapped, every time!
Discreet packaging, they come in a black bag for shipping, with no details on so no one would know what you ordered. Me? I don’t care about the packaging. But many may be worried.
Inside is a plain, white box with the contents wrapped and secured inside with foamy wormies. I have no idea what they are called so we will go with that!
All items that are delicate are wrapped in bubble wrap.
You can always tell a company by the packaging. I buy that much stuff, that the packaging can say a lot about the care they provide.
With every box, you receive some information about the box. From an inventory which gives you details of hat is included, as well as the properties of the oils and herbs, even the stones you receive.
A very well detailed spell, how to use it and information on what is required.
Detailed meanings of Ogham and then information about frankincense resin and the passion flower herb pot.
The herbs come in the same style of pots, although they are plastic, they are reusable. So once I finished the herbs, I then use them to store other things. They are great for keeping crystal chips in, I have them scattered in a drawer in bags so these are of good use.
So this month is yet another good month.
Firstly, I got myself a herb pot full of passion flower. Then another well sized put full of cleansing herbs. Thirdly a smaller pot full of frankincense.
A beautiful wax/oil burner and a little bag full of of soy wax melts. Not forgetting the cedarwood oil, piece of pyrite and the cute broom and hat necklace.
About the products inside the box
Spell Candles
This month we get red, green and white candles which have their own associations which relate to the month ahead.
Red is associated with passion, fire, love, fertility, strength, courage, enthusiasm, will power, protection, lust and beauty.
We are half way through the year and a lot of us are feeling deflated, so will power is essential to get us through the rest of the year.
Green is associated with prosperity, money, fertility, abundance, good luck, harmony and faerie magic.
So of course, we may need a little prosperity or good luck to get us through summer, especially if you have time off due to kids breaking up from school.
Finally, white is associated with peace, protection, sincerity, truth, purification, happiness, moon magic, spirituality, strength and cleansing. White candles can also replace any other colours as required.
At times, we may need a little truth, whether it is from ourselves, or someone else. Perfect for those moments you need a little happiness, or feel the need to purify yourself ready for the long summer ahead.
Cedarwood Oil
Cedarwood is an oil I use quite often, so I was glad to receive a small vial of this. Blended with grapeseed oil so it’s not overly strong.
Perfect for strengthening your psychic abilities, as well as offering psychic protection.
IF you wanted to open your third eye, this is a good oil to try.
Associated with confidence, fertility, friendship, justice and success.
Maybe you are giving it a go in trying to get pregnant, this box is certainly got it’s use!
Herb Pots
We have both a herb, resin and a cleansing blend.
The resin this month is Frankincense, you can use this for magical workings such as protection, cleansing and spiritual work, but also used for exorcism.
The herb pot this month is passion flower. A herb I really love at the moment. Used for peace, sleep, friendship, protection, cleaning, growth and property.
Personally I use it for sleep as it is one of the most used herbs in sleep aids.
Finally we have a beautiful cleansing blend containing white sage and other cleansing herbs.
You can use this either by burning, creating sachets for cleansing or vials to place around the home.
You can cleanse your home, tools and whatever else. Personally I like to sprinkle a little in the bat with a few essential oils and have a cleansing soak.
Pyrite (Fools gold)
Not quite a crystal, but this stone is powerful and has wonderful properties.
From intelligence, mental stability, logic, creativity, psychic development, memory, practicality, optimism, channelling abilities, learning to perception. A good all rounder for mental focus and clarity.
Personally, I have placed this on my work desk to keep me focused when working and so far, so good!
This was a great item to receive in my witch subscription box.
Spell Kit
This months spell kit is for solar power and covers a number of intents.
You can adapt the spell kits as you see fit, or go with the fact sheet if you fancy.
Perfect for the summer solstice and a great way to use the sun for your needs.
Witches hat and broom pendant
I love cute little whimsical items and love the jewellery in the boxes.
The witches hat and broom pendant is certainly whimsical and looks really lovely on. Although I am not a fan of the chains, I swapped for a silver one.
Oil burner and wax melts
I received a wonderful large oil/wax burner that is matte black with white stalks of corn around this.
I also received some dewberry soy wax melts. They smell absolutely delicious!
Remember the old Body Shop dewberry scent? They smell like that, but a lot nicer!
Really taking me back with this wonderful scent!
Final Thoughts
Overall, this box is impressive and love this witch subscription box.
Freya’s Cauldron has some wonderful items on their website also.
The customer service is amazing, as well as the items they sell.
I would highly recommend this box for anyone, from new to old to the craft.
