I love subscription boxes as I enjoy receiving random boxes full of surprises. For a long time I was addicted to beauty ones and now I only receive one box. However I needed to satiate that need for a subscription and off I went wandering around the internet for a new one. Then I came across the Freya’s Cauldron The Spell Keepers Chest monthly subscription service.
Every month you receive a new box full of surprises and they relate to that month in particular or an upcoming holiday such as Beltane.
Now I have been testing this for a couple of months and I have to say, I am more than impressed and you will see why in the review.
Freya’s Cauldron The Spell Keepers Chest – About The Subscription
Each month, they send out a new box on the 5th (Or the next working day if it is a weekend or bank holiday) at the great price of £25 if you are based in the UK.
You receive several items from herbs, oils, jewellery, books, candles, spells and much more.
The box I received last month, I got quite a few goodies such as candles, jewellery, herbs, a candle dressing oil, a crystal and little bits and bobs.
This month I got completely different products and was super excited.
As well as the box, you also get some informative leaflets about the products from the details of the hers and their uses. To information about each item such as properties of the crystal for an example.

Ho Wood Oil
I was excited to see an oil that is used for breaking bad habits, courage and even dissipating the dissatisfying situations.
You can use this to dress your candles to burn away a bad thing, or pop it in your diffuser for a spot of courage.
Spell Candles
This month has 6 spell candles in pink, green and white.
Pink is associated with inner peace, femininity, honour, unselfishness, diplomacy, leadership, affection, friendship and love.
Green is associated with prosperity, money, fertility, abundance, good luck, harmony and faerie magic.
White is associated with Goddess, peace, protection, sincerity, truth, purification, happiness, moon magic, spirituality, strength and cleaning. You can also use a white candle in replace of other colours.
Herb Pots
The herb pots I received this month are Lavender and Rowan berries, then a Beltane herb blend.
The Beltane herb blend is used for many reasons such as making little wish pouches. I have some spare pouches from charms so I will keep these for this use.
Now the Beltane herb blend is not available on the website so it is good to know that there is an item made especially for the box.
Orange Calcite
I was so intrigued to get a crystal that is not so widely popular, such as amethyst. Of course, I had to do a little research and all the details I needed was included within the box.
Admittedly this is quite a generous sized chunk of a stone!
Pentagram Enamel Badge
Um, so I have misplaced this. I think one of my children have borrowed this haha! However it was a lovely sized pentagram and I presume is now on their school bag.
Spell Kit
This month we were treated with a wonderful Beltane related spell kit.
Included is a candle, string and instructions on how to do the spell. This is great as some people like to have ready made spells, rather then searching online for how to do one, then finding the items for it.
Beltane Sabbat Plaque
Incredible that they have commissioned a sculptor called David Jeremy to create some wonderful items and one of the items is the beautiful plaque that is now residing in my garden.
Although this is for Beltane, I am leaving this in my garden all year round.
Each one is hand made so no one plaque is identical which is incredible

For the cost of this box per month, I truly do think you get your monies worth. I have received some incredible products over the last few months which I would never have purchased myself but now I need.
I am very excited to see what comes for May and of course will be sharing my thoughts as usual.
You never know, maybe I will look into other subscription boxes this month and see what else is available. Now I know a lot of you really wanted that, so I will get looking.
