Witches sometimes tend to be crafty and like to make their own things from ornaments, witches bottles to crafting the most beautiful decor for their home. Not only that, we like to create our own gifts for people depending on their styles. We can always find something someone likes.

I started looking online for ideas of things to make that would look beautiful and thought these tips an ideas would be worthwhile. Also saving you some money along the way with these brilliant ideas!

Whether you are starting or already have your own business, to creating beautiful things for your home. There are ideas where for everyone to try.

Crafting Your Own Witchy Home Items

Lists and Notes

One thing I do recommend is that you get some little notebooks ready for inspiration, making lists and also writing any thoughts that come to your mind.

Make lists of what essential you need for your witchy makes. From the equipment you need to make the items such as glue guns, pens, scalpels. Then progress to other things such as materials.

Inspiration hits us everywhere, so take some note books with you and use the word around you for ideas.

If you see some ideas online, write them down and then change them to suit you and your aesthetic.

Shopping Wisely

The most important part of crafting is spending your money wisely. I found the best places to look for items very cheap is actually on eBay, Amazon, Wish and AliExpress. Generally the materials are abundant and cheap, but also make sure you check the reviews to ensure that they don’t look cheap.

For example, I found loads of little glass bottles with cork stoppers for really cheap and found I can make everything from witch bottles to little cute bottles of stones or herbs.

Save money by stock piling cut files which can be used for a whole host of reasons such as embroidery, vinyl and much more. Check out svgs for some ideas.

Using the Outdoors

Forest full of bluebells and tall trees

We love the outdoors and the best places to find some items for your crafts is actually the outside!

If you want to make terrariums, you can find stones/rocks, moss, leaves, plants, twigs and all sorts. Just look outside like in your garden o take a trip somewhere lovely.

You can have a fun day out at the beach and collect shells and sand. Or even a walk through a forest and collect natures gifts.

Just sitting down and taking some pictures or glancing at the views can give you inspiration for ideas of things to make.

Plus if you have children, it is a great way to get them involved. My kids absolutely loved going searching the beaches and forests.

Craft For The Seasons

Each season brings us wonderful things. Flowers for spring, dried leaves and moss in Autumn.

Use the seasons to give you inspiration too!

Winter has the most beautiful blooms such as holly, mistletoe and evergreen foliage. Use this to create beautiful decor in your home or even for your altar.

Autumn gives us plenty of offerings falling from the trees. Pine cones, dried leaves and moss.

Summer gives us the end of the flowering season so cut the beautiful flowers before they start dying out and press them to create wonderful things such as drying out the petals for witch bottles. Or even using them in scrap books.

Spring blooms so many flowers, herbs and plants. They give us so much inspiration for the few months ahead.

Colour schemes can also be used such as light, bright colours for spring. Pastels, light shades and pinks, blues and yellow. Summer is plenty of bright colours, pinks, blue, neon.
Winder is white, red, brown, silver and green. Autumn is the more warm, rich colours like browns, golds deeper reds.

Ask People For Opinions

One way to find inspiration is to ask people what kinds of things they would like. If you are selling items, you may find there are items not being sold that people really want.

Offer an option for people to have their own input in items you create for them, many love to throw their ideas in but for whatever reason (Work, time) they wouldn’t make the items themselves.

Ask in groups, ask your friends, ask your family. You will find you have a mass of ideas of things to create.

Let inspiration guide you and enjoy the time creating things for you, your family or even to sell.

Don’t make it a chore! Just have fun.
